Impulse Space Hits $4.26 Billion Valuation in New Round

Spacecraft developer Impulse Space secured $500 million in a Series D funding round on Tuesday to scale its specialized orbital transport logistics.

The latest financing round values the California-based startup at $4.26 billion as investor enthusiasm for commercial space infrastructure continues to surge.

Venture capital firms 137 Ventures and Banner VC co-led the major investment round, pushing the startup’s total funding past $1 billion.

The successful fundraising highlights strong investor appetite for commercial space infrastructure capable of moving payloads between distinct orbits efficiently.

As global launch costs decline, satellite operators increasingly require dedicated vehicles to reposition assets and deliver cargo deeper into space.

The company actively manufactures orbital transfer vehicles and proprietary propulsion systems that rapidly transport satellites once they reach space.

Impulse Space already logged three successful orbital missions and secured hundreds of millions of dollars in long-term customer contracts.

Its current product fleet features Mira, an operational maneuvering spacecraft, and Helios, a heavy-lift vehicle debuting in 2027.

Prominent investment firms Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Linse Capital also participated to accelerate workforce and manufacturing expansion.
