The One Big Multicultural Festival, held in Ipswich, saw its highest attendance ever this year. More than 8,000 people visited the event, which took place in Alexandra Park on Sunday.

The festival, held for the 13th time, brought together different cultures with music, dance and crafts.

Boshor Ali from the organizing team said, “Everyone sees the importance of uniting our communities. In Ipswich, people look out for each other.”

Participant Winston Brown said, “It’s great to be here. We are all servants of one God and He has given us a wonderful day.” Henna tattoo artist Naadirah Rahim said, “I’ve done designs for people of different races, ages and genders. These events bring people together.”

The event was organized by BSC Multicultural Services and Ipswich Council. Suffolk High Sheriff Gulshan Kayembe emphasized the importance of the festival, saying, “The process of coming together is very critical against the forces that want to divide us.”
