Ford is recalling more than 59,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a fire risk.

Ford Motor Company (F.N) has decided to recall 59,006 vehicles due to a fire risk. According to a statement by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers vehicles equipped with engine block heaters.

According to NHTSA, these systems can crack and cause coolant leakage. This situation can lead to a short circuit and potential fire risk.

Which Models Are Affected?

The recall covers specific production years of popular models such as the Lincoln MKC, Explorer, Fusion, Bronco Sport and Maverick.

Ford stated that no accident or injury reports have been received, but to prevent potential risks, vehicle owners should be informed.

NHTSA officials stated that Ford makes customer safety a priority and that the faulty parts will be replaced free of charge. Vehicle owners can check the recall status using their VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on Ford’s official website or the NHTSA database. A Ford spokesperson said, “This is a preventative measure taken to ensure the safety of our customers.”
