Condition Stable, But No Discharge Date
According to medical information released on Tuesday, Bolsonaro’s condition is stable and he shows no signs of pain, bleeding, or complications. However, there is no prediction yet about when he will be discharged.
“I Only Communicate with My Family and Doctors”
In a post on Instagram, 70-year-old Bolsonaro stated that he prioritizes rest and only communicates with his family and medical team to ensure that his recovery process is not disrupted. The surgery, performed on Sunday, was Bolsonaro’s sixth surgical intervention since the assassination attempt in 2018. Bolsonaro was hospitalized last Friday with severe abdominal pain during a public event in northeastern Brazil. This caused him to cancel his regional tour, which he had undertaken to gather support ahead of the upcoming critical Supreme Court hearing. The case in question could lead to Bolsonaro receiving a sentence and even facing imprisonment.
Close Monitoring in Intensive Care Will Continue
Doctors reported that the former president’s health is stable, but he will continue to be kept under close observation in intensive care until his recovery progresses.
