Argentina maintained its economic growth in February.

Argentina’s economy continued its upward trend in February, rising 5.7% year-on-year, according to official data. This marked the fourth consecutive year of growth for Latin America’s third-largest economy, signaling a gradual recovery.

… The financial sector made the largest contribution to the total year-on-year increase, while wholesale and retail trade (7.4%) and manufacturing (5.0%) also showed strong performance.

On a monthly basis, Argentina’s economic activity increased by 0.8% in February. This marked the fifth consecutive monthly growth and was slightly higher than the 0.6% increase in January.

These latest figures come amidst the strict fiscal reforms implemented by President Javier Milei. Initially creating some difficulties, these reforms now appear to be laying the groundwork for the stabilization and gradual recovery of the Argentine economy.
